田野实验是一种与实验室实验相对应的实验研究方法。该类实验尽管相比实验室实验内部效度较低(噪音控制弱),但因为情境真实和外部效度高而近几年来受到学术界的持续关注。自2017年JMR、JCR和JM相继出版田野实验的专刊以来(Gneezy,2017;Meyer,2017;Morales等,2017),经笔者统计,2018年和2019年发表在JCR、JMR、JM上接近1/4的消费者行为研究都宣称自己使用了田野实验。然而,仔细阅读这些田野实验的文章后笔者发现,有些关于田野实验的问题并没有被彻底回答清楚,包括究竟什么是田野实验?田野实验有哪些判别标准?由于对田野实验的内涵界定存在不一致,一些文章宣称自己使用了田野实验,但实际上却不是严格意义上的田野实验。更重要的,我国营销学术界对田野实验本身的关注度和重视度还非常不足,发表的田野实验文章数量还非常有限。本文在JCR、JMR、JM、JCP这四份消费者行为顶级和权威期刊近5年(2014年8月—2019年11月)刊发的108篇使用了至少一项田野实验的文献的基础之上,将重点厘清田野实验的概念,并总结归纳前人在田野实验中为了增强情境真实性和外部效度做了什么,最后提出田野实验的开展建议。笔者希望,这篇文章能为国内营销学者和对田野实验感兴趣的其他领域学者日后开展田野实验提供操作层面的参考。
