尽管现有研究强调管理者谦卑在组织管理中具有积极作用,但却没有就谦卑型管理者的风险承担意愿给出明确解释。通过引入绩效期望落差作为情境条件,本文实证考察了管理者谦卑与战略风险承担的关系,发现谦卑型管理者在绩效期望落差较大时能够显著促进战略风险承担。机制检验的结果表明,谦卑型管理者面对较大的绩效期望落差会通过增加问题搜寻强度提高企业战略风险承担。进一步研究发现,当绩效期望落差持续较长时,谦卑型管理者会提高战略风险承担。与历史期望落差相比,较大的社会期望落差能够促进谦卑型管理者提高战略风险承担。研究结论有助于为认识谦卑型管理者的风险承担意愿提供参考。
